Bobby C: So Lisa, you have been in the industry for quite a few years now and you have done countless videos and photo shoots, could you tell us about any of your favorites or most memorable experiences?

Lisa Sparxxx: It’s hard to believe it’s been eight years already! I have to thank my fans for all their support in allowing me to have such a long and exciting “career” within the industry! It’s so hard to pin down a favorite, but memorable I think it would be the gangbang record that was shot in Poland in ’04! That is also the one thing I regretted doing as well. I wish I would have done it state side and not in Poland. The entire time we were there the Polish Government was chasing us trying to arrest us. I had that on my mind more than the video itself.

Bobby C: Now, you grew up in Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky, and could actually be using that in mainstream life instead of doing adult entertainment. Do you ever regret not going a more traditional route with your career?

Lisa Sparxxx: That’s right! I’m a Kentucky gal, born and raised. I graduated from UK with a Masters in Arts, Multimedia which provided me with the building blocks necessary to pursue a career in multimedia! The adult entertainment industry is just that, multimedia; granted, it’s far from the conventional career paths most college graduates venture down! No matter what career path someone chooses, you have to have an education, and as much of it as you can get! I was very fortunate to have get my education! I certainly do not feel like all that hard work has gone to waste! I own and operate all my websites. I design and create all my promo ads etc. Everything you see I have done or my partner in crime (my husband) has created. So no, I don’t regret anything! I made my family happy graduating college and now I can use my education in a career where I can have fun, travel and meet new people all the time.

Bobby C: Now since you have been in the business for almost a decade now, I am sure many people wonder if your photo and video shoots have gotten easier or in some cases, maybe more difficult?

Lisa Sparxxx: You know every job has its days! Even in this business Mondays are still Mondays! Of course with experience came confidence and with confidence came complacence with the work itself. When you truly enjoy the work you do it definitely makes things easier! Just like any other job, without challenges, anything can become monotonous. I love photo shoots because of the never ending array of things that my fans request and then working to communicate with them through just poses and facial expressions! Videos provide the physical as well as the mental challenges! Collectively, producing the content and then creating the final product my fans see and enjoy provide that perfect balance of necessary “good and evil”!

Bobby C: Where do you think the industry is headed? Do you see any road blocks or pit falls for the industry ahead?

Lisa Sparxxx: This industry just like anything else in life has to allow itself to grow and evolve with the ever changing world! The way the adult entertainment industry was eight years ago, when I started, was different than the industry during its trail blazing years during the 1970’s, and it’s considerably different than the adult entertainment industry of today. As long as those of us within the industry continue to grow, give ourselves and our careers the respect it deserves and don’t lose sight of the ever-changing future any road block that could appear will be overcome and the adult entertainment industry will continue to become more acceptable and gradually shed the cloud of “shame” that’s ever looming over everything that carries the “adult” connotation in today’s society.

Bobby C: If you had one thing in your life to do over again what would it be?

Lisa Sparxxx: Honestly, the world record gangbang, I would have done on a larger scale or I would not have done it at all!

If you are only getting in the business for the money. I would say seek another avenue. With that said I would also say there is no such thing as a casting couch. There are some pricks out there that will tell you this is the only way you will do a porn movie which is totally false.
